Working together....

We're back! We took a team of ten people to Rotterdam to travel together and live together on a barge for almost 5 whole days...what were we thinking? You learn a lot about each other when you're thrown together in an alien environment. For example, I can be a miserable git when travelling - but you were all warned. I'm sure we all discovered something new about each other, but on the whole, we worked well as a team. Tournament day is always busy - we're not just there to compete; it's important that we play a role in the smooth running of the day and work as required, without complaint. You'll always get some hiccup or other, but they can easily be pushed to one side in the blinding light of all the good stuff! Plenty of medals, great performances and good hard work. Fun on the ferry crossings, cramming into bunks designed for gymnasts (nice dismount, Laura Drayton) and busting our groove to the tunes (nice dancing, Alastair Banks and Jamie Hayward). Learning lessons and gaining wisdom about so many life skills....'nuff said. Pictionary should be compulsory. Learning not to mock the only member of the team with a sat-nav, without which we would have probably been on the far side of Germany by now..thank you, Lukas O'Neill. Making grown up decisions as part of a team - well done, Macey Wintle. Learning when to give people space - thank you, Laura Shepherd and Emily Cleaton. Some people are a joy to travel with - James Colley...thank you.And to my wonderful kids, Laura and Chris, who just get stuff sorted and go off to explore without me giving it a second thought...thank you. Good times....x

Hi Chris. Thank you for your enquiry. I think he'd enjoy the adult class more - there are plenty of teenagers in there!
