Martial tales...

The sting....

Really enjoyed classes on Saturday and special mention today must go to Regan Pearson, who came and trained in Redditch, despite having 11 stitches in a pretty impressive cut on his leg! What a great attitude for an 11 year old!

Kind of puts into perspective the song and dance I made when a couple of large nettles whipped back and smacked me in the face yesterday. I thought I'd tackle the jungle that I call a garden after classes yesterday - a garden that grows nettles better than anything else in there. 'Assisted' by the two dogs, I set about clearing the borders, only to end up cut, scratched and stung in myriad ways! I think I'd rather fight Laura....

But, I shall be out there again this morning. I try and carry the martial arts attitude through the rest of my life as well. Never give up - get angry, yes, but firmly harness that anger and direct it correctly. If anger makes you give up, then you're the loser and that anger will eat away at you. Now, where's that flamethrower.....?
